The Facts

Every consultation on DrOnline is reviewed by a doctor licensed to practise in Qatar. Every medication is dispensed by a pharmacy licensed by Qatar's Ministry of Public Health.

We built the website. Licensed professionals provide the care. Here is exactly how it works — and why each step is above board.

How it works — and who is licensed at each step

1.You answer a health questionnaire

You provide a structured medical history — the same questions a clinic intake would ask, just online instead of on paper.

Why this is above board: Your information is handled under Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) and controlled by Royal Link Healthcare Services, a licensed healthcare provider — not by the technology company that runs this website.

2.A licensed doctor reviews it

A real, Qatar-licensed doctor — not an algorithm — personally reviews your answers and may contact you with follow-up questions or a video consultation.

Why this is above board: The doctors are registered with the Department of Healthcare Professions at the Ministry of Public Health. You can ask for your doctor's name and license details at any time and verify them on the public register.

3.The doctor decides

The doctor may approve your request, ask for more information, recommend an in-person visit — or decline. Declines happen, and that is by design.

Why this is above board: Prescribing is entirely the doctor's clinical judgement. The platform cannot influence, override, or pressure that decision in any way. A service that never says no would not be a medical service.

4.A licensed pharmacy dispenses

If a prescription is issued, it goes to a separately licensed pharmacy partner in Qatar, which dispenses, labels, and checks it exactly as a walk-in pharmacy would.

Why this is above board: Pharmacies in Qatar are licensed by the Ministry of Public Health. Dispensing, labelling, counselling, and safety monitoring follow the same regulations regardless of how the prescription reached them.

5.Delivery to your door

Your medication arrives sealed and labelled, with tracking, delivered discreetly to the address you choose.

Why this is above board: Same medicine, same doctor standards, same pharmacy regulation. The only thing that changed is the front door.

Nothing about the medicine or the doctor is new — only the way you reach them is.

Your questions, answered honestly

This is normal — just new here

Online doctor consultations are an established part of everyday healthcare in much of the world. In the UK, regulated online GP services work alongside the NHS. In the US and Australia, telehealth is routine. Closer to home, Saudi Arabia's Sehhaty platform and licensed telehealth providers in the UAE serve millions of patients across the GCC.

DrOnline brings that same model to Qatar — first in the country, but well proven in the region and around the world.

What we deliberately don't do

The limits of this service are not fine print. They are the proof that it is a medical service, not a shop.

  • No controlled or narcotic medications — ever.
  • No emergency or urgent care. If you may be having an emergency, call 999 or go to your nearest emergency department.
  • Doctors are free to decline any request or refer you to in-person care.
  • Identity verification is required before treatment.
  • Your consultation and medical data are held under a licensed healthcare provider, not sold or shared for marketing.

Don't take our word for it

Everything above can be checked. The platform is operated by a registered Qatari company at a real address, the doctors hold verifiable licenses, and the healthcare is provided under a licensed provider.

  • Platform operator: Digital Commercial Brokerage and Trading Services (DrOnline.io), Al Jazeera Tower, Building 186, Street 836, Zone 61, West Bay, Doha, State of Qatar
  • Company registration: registered with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), State of Qatar
  • Healthcare provider: Royal Link Healthcare Services
  • Doctor licenses: verifiable via the Department of Healthcare Professions, Ministry of Public Health dhp.moph.gov.qa
