DrOnline.io is a platform that connects patients in Qatar to healthcare services. All healthcare activities, consultations and medical assessments are carried out by Royal Link Healthcare Services and its licensed doctors, at facilities licensed and regulated by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH).
Because our advertising talks about health, we hold it to a higher standard than ordinary marketing. This page explains the rules we follow in every advertisement, post and message we publish.
Our advertising promotes access to licensed doctors. We never advertise, name, picture or promote prescription medicines or pharmaceutical products to the public. Whether any treatment is appropriate is a decision made only by a licensed doctor, only after a consultation.
Before publication, the content of our health-related advertising is reviewed and approved in writing by the medical director of the partner healthcare facility and any featured practitioner, in line with the standards set by the MOPH Department of Healthcare Professions.
Our advertising must be accurate and must not mislead. Prices are shown in Qatari Riyals, with the full cost stated clearly. We do not promise medical outcomes, guaranteed results or guaranteed treatment approval — every patient's situation is assessed individually by a doctor.
Where our advertising refers to a doctor, their qualifications, licence and scope of practice are stated exactly as recognised by the MOPH Department of Healthcare Professions, without embellishment.
We do not use patients' photographs, videos or personal information in any advertising. Where our advertising tells a story, the people shown are actors or computer-generated characters, and the scenario is illustrative.
Our advertising is designed to be consistent with professional dignity and with the values and traditions of Qatari society.
Advertising for weight-management services is directed to adults aged 18 and over. We do not target advertising at minors.
Our social channels are for general information only. We do not provide individual medical consultations through comments, direct messages or social platforms — consultations happen only through the platform, with a licensed doctor.
We only send direct marketing (such as WhatsApp, SMS or email offers) to people who have explicitly opted in, in line with Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016). Every marketing message identifies us clearly and includes a simple way to opt out. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Messages about your consultation, prescription status or delivery are service messages, not marketing.
For details of how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
Any discount, special offer or promotional campaign we run in Qatar is licensed in advance by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the licence number and campaign period are stated in the promotion itself.
Our advertising practices are designed to align with, among others:
If you believe any DrOnline.io advertisement falls short of this policy, we want to know. Contact us at compliance@dronline.io and we will investigate and respond.
This policy is reviewed regularly and updated as regulations evolve. It forms part of our commitment to honest, safe and culturally respectful healthcare communication in Qatar.
